We are an independent project by a couple of avid travellers; the type that pores over maps to identify the perfect itinerary and has a photographic memory of each place they have been.

While we have used website before to keep track of the countries that we have visited in the past, these were never really satisfactory and thus we decided to start our own project to come up with an - in our eyes - better alternative.

This has resulted in beenseenexplored.com, a countries visited map that does a little more than just highlighting the countries that you've visited by providing an extra layer in the form of destinations within a country. This way, we will be able to tell you how well you know a country, and the entire world, and how you compare with your fellow travellers.
